Natural Resources Defense Council A US-based environmental group promoting the conservation and responsible use of natural resources

BioGems A program of NRDC dedicated to saving sites of high biodiversity across the Americas
 


 

Indigenous Peoples:

Racimos de Ungurahui Peruvian organization that promotes the empowerment of indigenous communities and the defense of their rights

Federación Nativa del Río Madre de Dios y Afluentes (FENAMAD) Local organization that represents indigenous peoples in Madre de Dios department, Peru
Amazon Alliance Umbrella organization of North American environmental groups and South American indigenous groups
 


 

Peruvian Agencies:
 Peruvian Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry Sector (Spanish) The Ministry of Agriculture manages forests and natural reserves
Instituto Nacional de Recursos Naturales (National Institute of Natural Resources) (Spanish) The INRENA is the department of the Ministry of Agriculture responsible for managing Peru's natural resources.  It is also the designated CITES Management Authority.

Universidad Nacional Agraria La Molina (National Agrarian University of La Molina) The designated CITES Scientific Authority
